The mold is a third of a circle, deeply grained with all the characteristic rings, cracks, and notches of a cut tree. Simply use the mold three times, align the segments side by side, and you'll achieve an 8-inch (203 millimeters) diameter circular wood-cut.
• This large log slice mold is part of a 3-mold range of log slice moulds which also includes molds to make 'small' (3 inches or 76 millimeters in diameter) and 'medium' log slices (5 inches or 125 millimeters in diameter). It will vein one third of a log slice, then simply rotate the veiner and texture the other two thirds to make a log slice with a diameter of 200mm – perfect for an 8 inch round cake.
